Working with the House
Standards-aligned. Clear boundaries. No influence over decisions.
Overview
Women’s culture is foundational. Its record deserves clarity, independence, and permanence.
Modern Monclaire works with intention. When we accept support, it is to protect the archive—not compromise it. Every partner, underwriter, or press outlet engaging with our work does so on clear terms. The roles are distinct. The standards are non-negotiable.
Underwriting
We consider one maison or patron per season. Underwriting supports production and public access so the archive can be built with precision and permanence. The relationship is straightforward: credit appears in acknowledgments as a fixed line—“Presented with [Partner Name]”. Editorial decisions, language, and timing remain entirely ours.
Partners receive a private briefing at the season’s end. It summarizes key decisions and their relevance to cultural stewardship, along with two cleared ledger images suitable for catalog or archival context. There are no previews. No approvals. No influence. Support may follow an editorial decision. It never precedes one.
To inquire, write with governance details and a short purpose statement. We respond only to proposals that meet our independence criteria.
The Admission Mark
The Admission Mark is a text-only badge granted to works admitted to the Index. Use is narrow and precise. A partner may reference a specific admitted entry on a product detail page or a shelf plaque, but only when:
- The ledger code is present
- The attribution language is exact
- The context is factual and unaltered
The mark is not for taglines, packaging, or campaign headlines. Approvals are few by design and may be publicly revoked if terms are not met. Requests must include the ledger code, context of use, and the exact copy.
Press Vault
The Press Vault provides a set of cleared materials for editorial use. It includes:
- Approved images for print and digital publication
- A brief overview reel
- Caption file with alt text for accurate public context
All materials are licensed for editorial coverage only. Paid placements or commercial reuse require written permission.
For citation, use the ledger code, the decision date, and the following line:
“Admitted by Modern Monclaire under Material, Proportion, and Proof. Stewardship conditions recorded.”
Example: MM-INDEX-2025-OBJ-013, admitted 2025-06-14
To request a brief quote, interview, or fact-check confirmation, contact the press desk with your deadline and questions. We will provide source lines and concise context.
Contact
For underwriting proposals, Admission Mark approvals, or press inquiries, use the contact form. Please include:
- Your name and organization
- Your email and purpose
- A short note outlining your request
We use contact information solely for coordination and do not sell or share it.
Editorial Independence
Our archive is editorial and unsponsored. Admissions are guided only by our method—Form · Substance · Provenance · Weight over time—and cannot be purchased or promoted by outside interests.
Conflicts of interest lead to recusal and are recorded in the decision ledger. Revisions are dated and explained. Admission Mark approvals are few and revocable. Underwriting may fund the work, but never influence it.
We do not offer paid placements, affiliate schemes, or promotional slots in editorial content. Every partnership honors the permanence and precision of the cultural record. Standards come first—always.
*We keep the record sharp, readable, and independent. The terms are fixed because the standards are fixed.
